THE ULTIMATE PUERTO RICO WATERFALL AND HIKING ADVENTURE!
Quick Details
This amazing adventure takes us to a rainforest, located only 45 minutes south of San Juan near the city of Caguas.
Our adventure takes you on a series of exhilarating activities as we travel through a beautiful rainforest. Located in the vicinity of the Carite Rainforest, El Salto is home to 49 species of birds, 15 species of amphibians (the Coqui being one of the main species), 12 species of reptiles, 7 species of mammals, and over 200 species of trees.
Caguas was host to some of the island’s most important sugarcane plantations providing employment to thousands of Puerto Ricans. Fields and plantations are still visible as we approach our destination atop a beautiful mountain range 2,000ft above sea level. The name “Caguas”, was derived from the famous Taino Indian chief “Caguax”, who taught the Spaniards all about tobacco plantations as well as other local fruits and harvests. Once populated by the Taino Indians before the discovery of Puerto Rico, this land is abundant in natural beauty and resources.
After a full day of adventure, you get to sit down and enjoy a delicious Puerto Rican home-cooked meal served by a local family in a beautiful mountain setting.
Our experienced guides will ensure your safety at all times, after all safety is our main priority. So come, join us, and experience Puerto Rico in a whole different way!
Shorts or long pants (not jeans) and a t-shirt (quick-dry clothing is recommended), closed-toe hiking sandals (like Teva or Keen) or an old pair of sneakers (no flip flops)

This is an absolute must. I cannot emphasize enough how much of an amazing and unique experience this is. I have seen nothing else like it offered in Puerto Rico. The guides were amazing, extremely knowledgeable and helpful. They guided you through every part of the experience. I had never done an off the beaten path hike before, and this was amazing. The views are gorgeous, the hike is fun, the rapelling down the waterfall is amazing, the ziplines are fun. If you do one thing, let it be this.
A great activity and fun for the physically able. Guides were great with our utmost safety in mind. Great scenery and a wonderful post activity lunch. It is a challenging climb, but the repelling and zip lining was fun for this novice. Would recommend wholeheartedly.
This was the best thing I did while in Puerto Rico! Scratched a few things off the bucket list here!! The guides were great and very friendly. Seen some beautiful views and waterfalls. The meal at the end was delicious! I would do this again. Highly recommend!!
Unlike some of the other popular jungle tours you will see available, this is the real deal. No extended stops at markets, just an authentic hike through the mountainous jungle near the Caguas area. Rappelling through the waterfall is definitely the highlight, and the guides are helpful and cheerful throughout the whole experience. Great scenery and great food too.
