Intermediate Climbing Course

This course is designed for climbers who are interested in taking the next step, lead climbing. Course objectives include protection placement, efficient clipping techniques, rope management, safety in the climbing area, mental strength, anchoring skills and communication skills amongst others. During the course, all the basics will be evaluated to ensure the climber’s knowledge in the sport. All lead climbing is done while top-roped (subject to instructor’s discretion), so you can concentrate on learning the techniques. If you're serious about lead climbing, this course is for you!

All activity is supervised to ensure your safety and the safety of those around you. On successful completion of this course you will be awarded a certificate of proficiency to show that you can efficiently set your own equipment well enough to climb. It is important to note that the course is designed for the personal enjoyment of the sport and does not qualify the participant to teach these techniques in a professional way.
