Our basic climbing course is designed to teach the complex discipline of rock climbing in a safe and efficient way. The course has a total duration of approximately 10 hours and is divided into two sections, the first being theoretical and the second practical.
The first part is an introduction to the sport where you will learn about equipment and techniques that will be put to practice during the second part of the course. You will learn to tie knots for climbing and how to safely set up ropes. We will teach you climbing techniques to help you move and progress on the rock in a safe and efficient manner.

This course is designed for climbers who are interested in taking the next step - lead climbing. Course objectives include protection placement, efficient clipping techniques, rope management, safety in the climbing area, mental strength, anchoring skills and communication skills amongst others.
During the course, all the basics will be evaluated to ensure the climber’s knowledge in the sport. All lead climbing is done while top-roped (subject to instructor’s discretion), so you can concentrate on learning the techniques. If you're serious about lead climbing, this course is for you!
